Independent Roman Catholic, comprehensive, coed. Awards bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and first professional degrees. Founded 1911. Setting: 128-acre suburban campus. Endowment: $252.6 million. Total enrollment: 8,855. Faculty: 868 (431 full-time, 437 part-time). Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 13:1. 7,075 applied, 60% were admitted. 50% from top 10% of their high school class, 66% from top quarter, 99% from top half. Collegiate Environment:
